Buy a Brave Ribbon Bracelet and support the HBOCH charity

Make one person aware and save a family for generations to come. C W Sellors are proud to introduce their National Hereditary Breast and Ovarian Cancer charity bracelet collection, made and designed by Rebecca Sellors and inspired by the incredible work of the charity.

One in eight women develop breast cancer. With early detection 90% of patients will be long term survivors. The Hereditary Breast Cancer Helpline runs 24 hours a day to support women with their families affected by familial cancer.

The collection brings together the official ribbon symbol logo in silver and enamel for breast and ovarian cancer, together with a silver ‘brave charm,’ (a circular brave disc with the official charity logo engraved on the back) which represents the bravery of women fighting against the disease.

Each piece from the collection has been completely handmade within our workshops in Derbyshire by our talented craftsman from sterling silver, cubic zirconia and enamel.

C W Sellors Christmas Wishes - Dame Esther Rantzen and Olympian Bryony Page attend launch of NSPCC jewellery collection

A dazzling and star-studded event hosted by Derbyshire based jewelers, C W Sellors, saw the unveiling of a specially designed children’s jewellery range which will raise money for the NSPCC.
Dame Esther Rantzen - founder and President of Childline, one of the NSPCC’s key services –was a special guest at the Christmas Wishes event, held in the grounds at Chatsworth House.
The event is the biggest of its kind to be hosted by a jewellery company outside London.
Alongside Dame Esther was trampolinist Bryony Page, a silver medalist at the Rio de Janeiro 2016 Olympic Games.
“There are some very beautiful heart pendants and brooches, some pretty flowers and charming cupcake designs,” said Dame Esther. “The sales will raise desperately needed money for us and help services like Childline, which has just celebrated its thirtieth birthday.”
The new collection is called ‘Sweet Hearts’ in collaboration with the NSPCC.
It consists of 4 matching pendants earrings and rings along with two bangles; perfect gift for children to mark special occasions like christenings, birthdays or Christmas.

All the pieces are made in Silver, coloured enamel and/or CZ and retail from £35 - £98, with 10% of every sale going to the charity.
Rebecca Sellors, the designer at C W Sellors, said it was “a joy” to design the NSPCC collection.
“I decided to use a flower, cupcake and heart as my design motifs. I hope children will enjoy wearing the pieces and through their purchase help give other children a chance.”
The collection is available to purchase through all the C W Sellors 15 stores in the Midlands and the North of England, as well as online.

HOT 100 TRENDSETTERS: Rebecca Sellors, Jewellery Designer, C W Sellors

Just where do you start when trying to sum up the achievements of Rebecca Sellors and the renowned family jewellery business she is part of?

The past year has heralded a flurry of new product development, the launch of a trade website, the sourcing of new concept packaging and the evolution of a Jewellery Design Centre of Excellence in the heart of the Derbyshire countryside.

As far as the talented jewellery designer is concerned, standing still is not an option. “It just goes to show what can be achieved in a relatively short space of time,” says Rebecca, who graduated from Birmingham’s School of Jewellery with First Class honours in jewellery and silversmithing design three years ago.

“It has illustrated that we can be a proactive business, offering customers not just a wide range of product but a comprehensive and modern customer service. Personally, it has helped increase awareness of the collections from my own portfolio – ‘Rebecca Sellors for C W Sellors’.”

C W Sellors prides itself on being the only company in the UK to champion its best-loved British gemstones – Derbyshire Blue John and Whitby – both at home and abroad. “Our collection portfolio for both continues to grow and sets out a clear USP for us in the jewellery trade,” insists Rebecca.

“It is what the company success was founded on and continues to be a key area and focus of the business – whether through new collections, individual designs or specialist projects.”

As anybody who has worked in a family business will testify, a cross-over between home and work life is simply unavoidable. But if anything this has made Rebecca even more determined to succeed.

“As a general rule, you have to work twice as hard to deliver credibility alongside achievement, therefore I feel the main effect has been to put in more time outside of the normal ‘office hours’ to work hard at my development within the company,” she says.
